Acupuncture involves the insertion of tiny needles along energy pathways (meridians) in the body. Your body contains the resources to heal, and acupuncture gives it the nudge to do so by freeing up energy blockages that can cause pain or other symptoms. Most people tolerate acupuncture treatments well (even people who are sensitive to needles). Acupuncture is an experience, and the best way to know if it may work for you is to give it a try!
Community Acupuncture is the practice of providing full-scale, individualized acupuncture treatments in a group setting, similar to how acupuncture has been practiced in Asia for thousands of years. This practice allows for more affordable treatments as multiple patients can be treated within the same space and timeframe. Acupuncture works best when treatments are frequent and regular, according to your individual needs. Our sliding scale allows patients to pay what works for their budget, allowing them to get the acupuncture they need to support their health goals and overall wellbeing.
Our acupuncture treatments are provided in reclining chairs and patients remain clothed, rolling up sleeves and pant legs to expose the limbs. Your acupuncturist will use points on the arms, legs, head and ears to effectively treat a wide variety of conditions. For example, some of the most effective acupuncture points for treating back pain are on your arms and legs. We have yet to encounter a condition that can't be addressed in the community acupuncture setting.
