Greater Good Community Acupuncture coordinates capacity building for the Cloud City AcuWellness project. AcuWellness (also known as AcuDetox or the 5 Needle Protocol/5NP) is a technique that treats specific points in the outer ear with tiny acupuncture needles or “acupressure seeds" to alleviate physical and emotional symptoms related to stress, drug/alcohol recovery, chronic pain, anxiety, PTSD, depression, and trauma. Volunteer providers are trained and certified as Acudetox Specialists or Auricular Acupuncture Technicians through the National Acupuncture Detoxification Association or the People's Organization of Community Acupuncture.
